Recovery Exercises after Breast Cancer Surgery

These videos were developed with Dr. Emma O’Loughlin, a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Otago.

They are designed to support women recovering from mastectomy, lumpectomy, and lymph node surgery. The content was co-designed with Māori, Pacific, and non-Māori/non-Pacific women, using interviews and focus groups to ensure the videos were safe, practical, and culturally relevant.

Our goal was to achieve a warm, heartfelt tone while providing clear, accessible information. By creating versions in Samoan, Te Reo Māori, and English, these videos are available to complement existing clinical care for a range of women across Aotearoa.
